The foreign manufacturer who produced
a regulated product outside Kingdom of Cambodia and intends to sell
or use in Kingdom of Cambodia, can apply for Product safety mark
license or product certification mark license to put the mark on
their products before placing the products on the Cambodian market,
but The foreign manufacturer shall have a local representative
to be responsible for the licensed products selling or using
in Kingdom of Cambodia. |
Procedure for import of regulated products      |

The Released Letter |
The released letter will be issued,
in case of the imported Regulated Products have got the Product
safety mark license or product certification mark license issued by
Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy (MIME) |
|
The Released Letter with Conditions |
|
The
imported Regulated Products without a
Product safety mark license or product
certification mark license/ Product
certification mark license. The released letter
with conditions will be issued in case of : |
|
1- The product has been granted a Certificate of
conformity attached with test reports and factory inspection report
by recognized bodies |
|
2- The
product has not been conducted a test and a factory inspection from
any recognized body. |

CASE 1:
In case of importing the regulated products with the Product safety
mark license or product certification mark license from Ministry of
Industry, Mines and Energy |
|
The importer
has to submit the application form of the released letter with the Product safety mark license or product certification mark
license and imported documents to ISC/MIME to get the
released letter. The below figure is the flowchart of the procedure
to get the released letter. In case of importing the regulated
products with the Product safety mark license or product
certification mark license from Ministry of Industry, Mines and
Energy. |

CASE 2:
In case of importing the regulated products with test reports,
certificates of conformity and Factory inspection reports |
|
The importer
has to submit the test reports, certificates of conformity and
factory inspection report with imported documents to ISC/MIME for
Product safety mark license or product certification mark license.
After receiving the completed and valid documents, the released
letter with conditions will be issued. In this case, the product can
be released from custom’s custody in order to put at a specific
place waiting for Product safety mark license or product
certification mark license granted. The Product safety mark license
or product certification mark license is issued only for the amount
of the regulated products imported to be Labeled on. The below
figure is the flowchart of the procedure to get the released letter.

CASE 3:
In case of importing the regulated products without any test reports
and certificates of conformance |
|
The importer can get a released
letter with Conditions from ISC/MIME to release the
products from custom’s custody in order to put a specific place
waiting for the result of test, while the products have to be sent
to test and certify for conformance with Cambodian Industrial
Standards and other specific requirements, and the results and
certificate of conformity with imported documents have to submit to
ISC/MIME for Product safety mark license or product certification
mark license or Product certification mark license before the
products can release for Cambodian markets. In this case, the Product safety mark license or product certification mark license
or Product certification mark license is issued only for
the amount of regulated products imported. The below figure is the
flowchart of the procedure to get the released letter. |
